Seventh Son is a disaster
Sergie Bodrov's 'Seventh Son' was one of the most expected movies of the year. The movie hit the screens on February 6th, and as per initial reports, this movie will emerge as the disaster of the year. The film literally pulled the audience to a state of boredom for more than 120 minutes, and this is considered as the main reason behind the failure of the movie. The movie has a rotten tomatoes rating of 10%, and this clearly indicates the sub standard nature of 'Seventh Son'.
Upon its release, many reputed critics and reviewers panned the movie with no mercy. “Seventh Son squanders an excellent cast and some strange storyline ingredients, leaving audiences with one disappointingly dull fantasy adventure”, wrote the consensus of Rotten Tomatoes.
The movie showcases the story of young Thomas who is apprenticed to the local Spook to learn tricks to fight against evil spirits. But things takes a new turn when a dark force starts its attack in the absence of the Spook.
The movie could be made as a classic epic fantasy film, but the director literally failed a golden chance to craft an impeccable film. The screenplay was lagging, and the dialogues failed to evoke any kind of interest in the minds of the audience. One and only highlight of this movie is the performance of its lead actors. Jeff Bridges and Ban Barnes put up a memorable show in their respective characters, and it will surely impress you without any doubt.
